Jeffrey “JQ” Qaiyum is a composer and producer from Chicago. He created the score for Hulu/FX’s The Bear, Seasons 1 and 2, often working with fellow Chicago artist Johnny Iguana. He is also a founding member of Q Brothers, known internationally for their hip hop adaptations of Shakespeare and other classics. The Q Brothers also performs annually at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. JQ has received several awards, including Best Lyrics for Othello: The Remix at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a BMI Streaming Media Award for his scoring work on The Bear.
